INVITING PLANTS

The project inviting plants by Paula Schulte proposes new bricks and tiles that invite spontaneous vegetation in urban environments.
In the context of the research plants vs city? through studying cases of micro informal green spaces (MIGS) in Eindhoven and analysing their conditions and value led to insight to what those species need to thrive. From those so called „weed“ we can learn a lot. Why banning them from our cities if we can also embrace them?
From those information the project lead to a proposal of new bricks and tiles that could replace regular tiles to give the urban nature the opportunity to develop on its own.
